Police are seeking two suspects in a recent assault at a Salisbury restaurant involving a knife.

Officers from the Salisbury Police Department responded to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional just after 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 12 to meet with a 27-year-old victim who had "stab and slash wounds," according to a news release.

The officers learned that minutes before the man arrived at the hospital, he was involved in an altercation at Brew River, located at 502 W. Main St. Police said the victim exchanged words with other patrons and then was punched in the face.

The man fell to the ground, according to police, and as he stood back up, realized he'd been assaulted with a knife. Friends took him to the hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
